Once you double click the Yahtzee Dice a gump will appear with 5 dice at the top and many categories below. The point of this game is to get as many points as possible. In order to win tokens you must score over 200 points then, you get 10 tokens per point over 200. How do you score those points....that's what this guide is going to tell you.
To roll Click the gold arrow next to the dice. Then, you choose which dice to Hold by checking the boxes below them. Then, you roll again if necessary. This will roll all of the unchecked dice. You get three rolls per turn and a turn ends once you choose the category to place your points earned.
The top section consists of Ones through Sixes. This basically gives you points based on how many of your chosen number you rolled. For instance, after your third roll you have 4 Ones so, you get 4 points. If you had 4 Twos, you get 8 points, 3 Threes 9 points and so on. This top section also has the opportunity of getting 35 bonus points. You get these by scoring at least 63 points in your Upper Total.
The bottom section is much more difficult I will explain each situation individually.
Three of a Kind- The goal is to get three of the same number when you roll. The points earned is the sum of all the dice. For instance, you rolled 3 Sixes, a Five, and a Four Your points earned is 27, the sum of the dice.
Four of a Kind- The goal is to get four of the same number when you roll. Just as the Three of a Kind, points earned is the sum of all the dice.
Full House- The goal is to get two of one number and three of a different number. The total points earned is 25 for a Full House. For example, a Full House could be 3 Threes and 2 Fives or 3 Sixes and 2 Twos.
Short Straight- A Short Straight consists of 4 numbers in sequence. For example, One Two Three Four, Two Three Four Five, or Three Four Five Six could all be Short Straights. You get 30 points for a Short Straight.
Long Straight- A Long Straight is all five dice in sequence. This could be One Two Three Four Five or Two Three Four Five Six. A Long Straight is worth 40 points.
Yahtzee- Yahtzee is all five dice rolled the same number. The first Yahtzee is worth 100 points. Any Yahtzee after the first is worth 50 points. You can get as many Yahtzees as you want until the game ends.
Chance- Chance is your one fall back. If you roll and get nothing that can be used you can use your Chance. It will add up the total of your dice and that is the point value you will be rewarded. Be forewarned you can only use your Chance once!
Once your Chance is used if you roll and get nothing that can be used you must cancel out one of your categories. You do this by clicking the arrow next to that category, it will award you a 0 point value for that category. Once you do this you cannot change your mind so choose wisely!
The game ends when all categories have been chosen and have a point value.
