Hello - I'm not new!

Well hello there everyone.

I'm around for almost 3 years now. My profile says 985 days... But only recently I got myself an account (sorry again for being so impatient!).

So over the years I got to see a few things here on the shard. I usually do not have time to play so much. Maybe once or twice a week and then only an hour or two. I also had longer times when I did not have any time at all. And also I tried other shards in between. But well... I always came back.

I really like it here - and what I like most is that I am able to do a lot of things alone.

Furthermore - even though I am (almost) 3 years old here by now there are still lots of things to achieve.

Which leads me over to one or two questions or a request for an advice:

I have skills and gear that allow me to do half of the champs (crafter, bunnies, Barra and Neira), but not the other half. I think I did all the quests I can manage to do. I just got myself a high priest robe, but failed on the thunder wyrm (I guess I could handle the wyrm alone but the spawn around kills me - and I refuse to use the invis cloak, which I have). I can also damage the dungeon bosses, but not kill them (they kill me first).

So basically I find lots of things to do. I still like it a lot around here. But I am not sure what the next thing to do for me should be. Any advice?

Okay, a little update. I got forward. I can now finish the cold blood spawn, Covetous Boss and Thunderwyrm.

Still cannot finish other dungeon bosses, arachnid or abyss spawns (I get stuck on last level, cannot advance it fast enough).

Any idea what I can focus on for the moment?

I realize this post is about 2 years old, and Elwood if you are still out there and interested in playing hit me up via pm here or in game.

Most of the people I have met here, have been here for sometime, seems very few are actually New (like I am/ was).

Seeing this post got me to thinking, there is still so much to do here after being here 8 months, with a good bit of filler in there to boot. With it being new to me, I would guess that there is still a bit that is "new" to some vets.

Some of it is farming to progressively move along, and some of it requires adjusting how we go about things (nice part here is you can be a caster or melee, just a matter of changing gear out). This was a lesson I took a ton of deaths to finally understand

You have:

Doom
Champs
Dungeon Champs
Harrower
Peerless
Khaldun (for both bones and guardian spells)
Spell Crafting adventure
And lets not forget Chuck Norris!

So in short, if you (or anyone reading this, I see all you "guests"...) are looking for things to do, there are literally a huge range of activities. If you are New, as in fresh start, it will take a little bit to get situated, but before you know it you will be checking off items off the above list. Best advice I saw on this board in the beginning was make your 2M and get a checkbook, all down hill from there. Also don't forget to check out the NPG guild house just outside Luna

If you are returning, and struggling with some events/ mobs, change up your tactics. Go from melee to caster or vice versa. Or equip a bow and kite, or sing songs in your undies while dancing around the kitchen table? Ok that last piece is a joke obviously, but I think my point is clear.

So cool to see life in whispering pines. I'm sorting out my razor macros and easy UO stuff and I'll drop in from time to time

I do miss hearing the voices amongst the Pines...they have been whispering for far too long. Enthusiastic...energetic...and full of hope....that has been missing. Might this be the dawn of a new era? Our 4th or 5th Renaissance? I have lost count of our rebirths...but who is truly counting.

The return of Exodus...that brings me joy...although i struggle...can an Exodus return or by nature is an Exodus an exodus? If an Exodus can return is it an exodus from somewhere else? Is an exodus in constant motion or does it come to a rest? Has Exodus been wandering all these years? Are the Pines just a rest stop on the journey? Does he really know where he is headed? does he have a map? has he recently updated the map? was the original on Mapquest and has he upgraded to google? has he checked the traffic updates? not sure you can do that with mapquest...does he even know about google? not knowing where he has been I have concerns...did anyone water his plants while he was gone? did he have plants? is he a plant type of guy? so many questions...
